The Convention on Wetlands was signed 50 years ago in Ramsar, Iran. The Convention is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a special campaign.
The campaign is an opportunity to remind policy makers and the public of the many habitats that fit under the name ‘wetlands’. To help with this, the Secretariat making resources freely available online: factsheets, a logo, animated films, and a social media strategy.
You can find all of these on Ramsar50.org.
As well as pre-made social media tiles, Ramsar is also providing a system where you can create similar tiles but with your own photo and target wetland.

For social media, the recommend the main hashtag of #RestoreWetlands. They will update the Resources on these event days during 2021:
March 22nd – World Water Day
May 8th – World Migratory Bird Day
May 22nd – International Day for Biological Diversity
June 8th – World Ocean Day
August 12th – International Youth Day
October 13th – International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction
November 1st – 12th – UNFCCC COP 26
