Asian Wetland Symposium call & Programme

The next Asian Wetland Symposium will happen online on 5 – 9 July. The 9th Symposium is calling for submissions of spoken or poster presentations. If you are interested, please consider sharing an abstract with the organisers by 7 May. 

There are eight topics: Impacts of COVID-19 on wetlands; Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and ecosystem-based approaches to disaster risk reduction (Eco-DRR); Wetland management, conservation and restoration; Wise use of wetlands; Wetland education, nature and art; Urban and rural wetlands; Multi-stakeholder participation and citizen science; Regional policy issues.

The Asian Wetland Symposium will be held online on 5 – 9 July 2021. It is supported by the Ramsar Regional Centre – East Asia, the city of Suncheon, Ramsar Center Japan, and Wetlands International.
