Welcome to the 12th INTECOL Wetlands Conference in Tartu, Estonia, from June 29 to July 4, 2025!
This summer, the world’s leading wetland scientists, policymakers, and practitioners will gather in Tartu to discuss research and directions in wetland ecology, conservation, and restoration. The conference aims to provide a platform to continue reviewing and collaborating on advances in wetland science in ecological, physical, biogeochemical and social sciences. It creates an opportunity to foster the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences across Europe. Together we can discuss the challenges, advances and solutions to improve the situation of wetlands globally.
The conference features 12 plenary presenters from around the globe. The programme also includes 11 technical tours of various wetland areas, 9 themes covering biogeochemistry and ecology to restoration, social and economic aspects, 16 symposia, and 2 workshops. The beautiful Estonian National Museum hosts the conference and the welcome reception, while the conference dinner is held at the wondrous AHHAA Science Centre. We welcome participants from around the world to shape the future of wetlands together!
