Youth engagement is important to WWN, and wetlands are essential to tackle climate change. As such we are happy to share the following opportunity for people aged under 30:
The High Level Champions Team for UNFCCC COP26 has launched a fellowship scheme for young professionals. It will be a platform for young people to work within the Champions team and drive climate action in the non-state actor community in the lead-up to COP26.
Fellows will join the High Level Climate Champions Team for a ten month fellowship focused within the following sectors – food and agriculture, energy and climate resilience.
The fellowship will include modules on leadership development, engagement with business, NGO and/or policy leaders, mobilisation and outreach in broader networks, and a capstone project. The fellows will work closely with the sector leads during this fellowship and will be required to commit up to 10 hours per week. Fellows will receive a small stipend.
Application deadline: 5pm GMT on Sunday 13 December.
